About Me

My photo
Thank you for visting my blog. When I started this blog, it was just the vehicle for which I had hoped to share photos of our life in Chicagoland with our loved ones, but it has turned into so much more for me. Life is ever evolving in our household and time no longer stands still. Every moment is precious and worthy of being captured and treasured. In addition, through my love of the camera, I have had the opportunity to meet and also capture moments in others' lives. It is my hope, with this blog, that when my memory fails me, the words and photos on this blog will remind of where we were. History...Through My Glass...

Cars, Flashcards, and Chocolate

He likes to look out of the window.
Trying out my PSE skills--I am so lacking in this. It's just so complicated! I need to really just focus on taking pictures and getting the right exposure and composition

Playing with a car that he suckered Grandma Yang to buy for him at the Dollar Store.

I tried to make this look a little vintagy by making it a little grainy. I don't think it works.

I think they call this style, "Sunburst". Again, not quite sure it works.

Playing with his animal flashcards. He still doesn't really speak English so we are working with flashcards.
Look how successful we are at it. He basically pulls the cards out of the box and then puts them on the floor and sits or lays on them and messes them up. He does make all of the animal sounds though.

Well...sometimes he pays attention. Every number is "Eight" to him. Roan's counting, "...eight, eight, eight, eight..."

Those are so cute! All letters to Alex are "S" so I can relate to the "8" thing. I really like the pictures from your trip in the post below... especially the first one! You are doing great with your photography, don't be so hard on yourself! :)
